1. Making a Booking

1.1 Booking Forms & Acceptance of Terms

By returning a booking form—signed or unsigned—by email, you confirm that you have read and agree to our Terms & Conditions of Business.

Provisional bookings made by telephone or email will be held for 7 working days. If we do not receive the completed booking form and deposit within this period, the booking will be automatically cancelled unless otherwise agreed.

1.2 Payment Deadlines

All course fees must be paid no later than 21 days before the course start date.
If payment is not received by this deadline, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

2.1 How to Cancel

All cancellations must be made in writing (email accepted).

2.2 Classroom & Practical Courses

  • Cancellations within 21 days of the course start date are charged at 100% of the course fee.
  • Non-attendance on the day will also incur the full course fee.
  • In exceptional cases, and entirely at ASSET’s discretion, the booking may be transferred to another available date.

2.3 Online Courses (Online Learning & Digital Content)

These rules comply with UK & EU distance-selling regulations (Consumer Contracts Regulations / EU Consumer Rights Directive):

  • You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not accessed the online training materials.
  • Once you log in, view, download, or begin the online training, the digital service has begun and the refund period ends.
  • No refunds are available after the course has been accessed.

3. Online Learning with Practical Training (1-Year Completion Rule)

Some online courses require additional in-person practical assessment.

By booking these courses, you agree that:

  • You have one (1) year from the date of purchase to complete both the online theory and any required practical elements.
  • If not completed within this timeframe, the course is marked as expired.
  • Extensions may be offered in exceptional circumstances but are not guaranteed and may carry an extension fee.

Practical training terms:

  • Practical sessions must be booked in advance.
  • Missing a practical session without 7 days’ notice may result in a rescheduling fee or loss of the session.

4. Attendance Requirements

  • Students must adhere to the check-in times given for each course.
  • Late arrival may result in the student being unable to complete the course.
  • All prerequisites (experience, certificates, documentation) must be met prior to attendance.

5. Certificates, Prerequisites & Discounts

  • Students are responsible for supplying valid certificates when requested.
  • Failure to produce a valid prerequisite certificate may result in refusal of entry or loss of any associated discount.
  • If you book using an invalid certificate, your place may be refused and no refund will be issued.
  • At ASSET’s discretion, you may be offered a place on a more suitable course.

Please note:
Completion of an ASSET-approved course does not guarantee access to manufacturers’ servicing courses, parts, or technical programs. Manufacturers operate their own policies independently of ASSET.

6. Course Transfers

You may transfer your booking to another person up to 7 days before the course start date.

  • Transfers requested within 7 days may incur an administration fee.
