About This Programme

ASSET is a professional standards body for scuba service engineers and technicians.

The Dive Industry Technician Course (DITC) is ASSET’s foundational professional programme, designed to set, teach, and audit competence in the inspection, servicing, and management of scuba and diving life-support equipment.

This programme is aligned with European and international pressure-systems practice and reflects the expectations placed on technicians working with safety-critical equipment. It is structured to meet the needs of technicians, service engineers, dive centres, and organisations that require documented competence, consistency, and accountability.

Core Positioning

ASSET sets, teaches, and audits professional standards for scuba service engineers and technicians, aligned with European and international pressure-systems safety.

This philosophy underpins every element of the course — from academic content and workshop practice to certification, documentation, and post-course audit readiness.

Asset Programme Scope
