Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Whether you’re looking for work in a resort in Thailand or a commercial shop in Aberdeen, the ASSET (Association of Scuba Service Engineers and Technicians) name is the industry benchmark for life-support maintenance.

You don’t need to be an engineer. We start with the basic physics of breathing air and move into the heavy mechanical stuff. If you have a steady hand and patience, you’ll be fine.

You can’t learn to safely service life-support gear in a weekend. We spend the first few days on theory and the rest of the time deep in the workshop getting our hands dirty on real regulators and valves.

The 10-day DITC covers the essentials, but we also offer dedicated modules for visual inspection and hydrostatic testing. It’s a huge part of any dive shop’s revenue, so it’s a smart skill to have.

No. Use our professional workshop tools during the training. We’ll show you what’s worth buying for your own bench and what’s just an expensive gimmick so you don’t waste money later.

We’re based in Protaras, Cyprus. It’s a major diving hub with easy flights into Larnaca. It’s the perfect place to learn because we’re surrounded by real-world dive operations.

We aren’t here to fail you. If you’re struggling with a specific task, like a second-stage adjustment, our instructors will work with you one-on-one until you’ve got it perfect. Safety is the only priority.

We have e-learning for the “book work,” but you cannot become a technician over Zoom. You have to come to the workshop to prove you can actually handle the tools and the gear.
