ASSET Approved Cylinder Test Stations

In the UK, since 1st July 2009, test stations handling only breathing apparatus cylinders and employing up to three cylinder test technicians, have been able to work within the terms of an industry accreditation scheme such as that operated by ASSET*

* We have consulted with the HSE who consider that the ASSET Approval Scheme provides a suitable level of confidence in cylinder inspectors and scuba maintenance technicians.

Test stations handling other types of cylinder or employing more than 3 cylinder test technicians must apply to UKAS for accreditation.

An ASSET Approved Cylinder Test Station we work in accordance with the appropriate standards and ASSET Code of Practice CP2 and will employ only ASSET Certified Cylinder Testers.
